De Pico de Arieiro is de hoogste (met auto bereikbare) bergtop van Madeira. Vanuit hier kun je lopend naar de hoogste top: de Pico Ruivo (7 kilometer wandelen). Mijn bezoekje aan de Arieiro begon al goed. De auto stond schuins op de berg geparkeerd: ik stap uit, mijn nieuwe iPhone van 2 weken oud die naast me op de bank lag glijdt uit de auto en schuift één meter de berg af met het scherm naar beneden op het asfalt. Ai. Maar thank god: er zit niet eens één krasje in! ;)
De dag dat we bij de Ariero waren was het bloedje heet, vandaar dat wij niet richting de Ruivo zijn gelopen. We hebben een aantal foto's gemaakt en daarna van een drankje genoten in het cafétje dat erbij ligt. Zelf ben ik mega blij met de foto waar mijn sjaal wappert in de wind! Wat is jouw favoriet? X
De Pico de Arieiro is the highest point of Madeira which you can reach by car. The real highest point can only be reached by foot, and is the Pico Ruivo (7 kilometers walking). My visit to the Arieiro started smoothly (not). The car was parked diagonally on the mountain: I stepped out of the car, my new iPhone of 2 weeks old which was laying next to me on the couch fell out of the car with the screen down and slided 1 meter down. Ai. But thank god: there is not a single scratch on it!
The day we visited the Arieiro is was extremely hot out, so that's why we decided to not walk up to the Ruivo. We took a few photos and then enjoyed a drink in the nearby café. Personally I am extremely happy with the photo where my scarf flutters in the wind! Which one is your favorite? X
