BUTTE-AUX-CAILLES

In de eerste week van mijn stage, toen ik een collega om tips vroeg voor Parijs, vertelde hij dat ik naar de 'Butte-Aux-Cailles' moest gaan. Hij beschreef dit als 'typisch Parijs'. Het duurde even voordat ik afdaalde naar de andere kant van Parijs, maar oh-wat-was-het-leuk! 
Butte-Aux-Cailles is een wijk in het 13e arrondissement van Parijs. Ik kreeg direct het gevoel alsof ik in Zuid-Frankrijk was: kleine kronkelende straatjes en overal kleine barretjes en restaurantjes, met een echt dorpsgevoel. 
De foto's zijn niet spectaculair, maar ik wilde ze graag met jullie delen. Het is een klein stukje rust in deze drukke stad!


In my first week in my internship, when I asked a colleague for tips, he told me that I should go to 'Butte-Aux-Cailles'. He described it a 'typical Paris'. It took me a while to finally go to the very other side of Paris, but oh it was so lovely!
Butte-Aux-Cailles is a quarter in the 13th arrondissement of Paris. I immediately got the feeling that I was in the South of France: small winding streets and small bars and restaurants every where you look, with the feeling as if you are in a tiny village.
These photos aren't spectactular, but I really wanted to share them with you. It is a small place with peace in this busy town!
